Tech Tax Helper exists because a lot of good techs get hurt by taxes they were never taught about.
Install and field work moved more and more to subcontractors who pay on a 1099. Overnight, techs who’d always had taxes taken out of their checks were handed the whole job: figure out what to set aside, pay the IRS four times a year, track every tool and every mile. Nobody explains it. The first April shows up with a bill for thousands of dollars, and the money’s already spent.
This site and the app are built on one idea: if the app doesn’t take care of it, it isn’t going to get taken care of. Nobody running jobs from 7 a.m. until dark wants to learn accounting. So everything here is in plain words, step by step, and the app does the math.
Who makes it
Tech Tax Helper is made by WalkTeaming LLC, a small Colorado company that builds focused apps. The person behind it spent decades in cable and satellite installation, including running a tech office. These are the questions techs actually ask.
How we handle your information
This site doesn’t use analytics, tracking or ad cookies. The app saves your records to your own Google Sheet and Google Drive, and on your phone. WalkTeaming LLC never keeps your records.
