About

I’m Jeremy Criddle. I write the ADHD Hunter and ADHD Runner book series, and between that, a growing network of content sites, and a separate hunting-videography business, I’ve been self-employed and filing as one for years. The tax questions on this site are ones I’ve actually had to answer for myself.

Business From Home used to cover a wider mix of home-business topics. It’s now narrowed to self-employment tax and filing specifically, anchored on E-file.com, after research turned up real, current billing and cancellation complaints against two other partners this site used to cover. Narrow and accurate beats broad and padded.

How I Review

Every number on this site is a real, current figure — the 67-cent 2026 mileage rate, the $400 self-employment tax threshold, the actual quarterly due dates — not a rounded-off approximation. Where a topic like LLC-vs-sole-proprietor has an honest answer that isn’t the exciting one (an LLC alone doesn’t save you anything on taxes), that’s what gets published.

This site earns a commission on E-file.com purchases made through links here, at no extra cost to you. See the full disclosure.
